Brief
Foothill Unity Center has been hosting their annual Back-to-School event for over 25 years, mostly at the historical Santa Anita Race Track. The goal of the event is to provide local students with everything they need to succeed—backpacks, school supplies, clothing, and more. Our internal focus and messaging this year was to pivot from solely collecting school supplies to also include an emphasis on sponsorships, vendors, monetary donations, and volunteerism. Together, all of these help ensure a successful event to empower our local students to start school with confidence.
In addition to this, we also launched our Back-to-School Ambassador Program, which involves a group of carefully selected volunteers who would aid us during the fundraising duration to solicit donations.
